Isolated Units teleporting

Post by Harrybanana »

In the 43 Campaign game against the AI I had isolated 2 German units on Corsica and the next turn they were both gone. They did not surrender. I understand the HQ could relocate out of the pocket, but not the regiment. I have saves from both the end of my turn and the beginning of my next turn. Where do I send them? Below are screenshots from one turn to the next.

What version are you using? IIRC, there were some AI warp moves that were fixed in 1.00.29, which is in public beta and will be made official any day now. Do you have a save at the start of the German turn you can attach here or email to 2by3@2by3games.com?

I am using the 1.00.29 beta. I tried attaching the save here but received the error message:

The page at www.matrixgames.com says:

c:\fakepath\saveturn 009 8-28-1943 Ax.sav is not supported.

So I will email the saved turn.

Great, that should help a lot. It was one regiment that was warped to the beaches near Calais. The odd thing is it is still attached to the HQ in Corsica (which was also in that pocket, but legally offset out of the pocket). Added it to the bug list and Gary will take a look and hopefully will be able to fix this.

Joel,

I finished the old game and started a new one this time with 1.00.37. Another German unit teleported out of isolation. This time it was the 2nd Fallschirmjaeger division, so really sorry to see it get away. I will send you the save game.

This is like killing cockroaches. Please do send me the save and if it duplicates we should be able to prevent it. Thanks for the report.

I'm not sure if this is a case of a unit teleporting or not. The 26th panzer was shown as isolated in Gaeta. I did not move the TF in my turn, but the next turn the 21st was gone. It was raining hard so I couldn't maintain Naval Patrols so maybe it was able to transport out. But the port was showing as 100% destroyed. I will send you this save as well.
