First Contact 2016 AAR

After reading the AAR from http://www.rjlee.org/blog/2014/07/19/nice-ice-navy/
it gave me an idea. The stealth only works to a degree, so I might be better off launching at first contact, but only the units not yet discovered by the enemy, so as to use the stealth properties of the NSM, and not to provoke a missile attack.

Please bare with me as I´m not an author.

Game start 05:00:00.
I keep all ships at strict EMCOM A and 5 knots (to look as inconspicuously as possible), and launch the helo immediately.

05:02:00.
I have ID´ed the two Gremyachys (pardon my spelling), and a Helix A.

05:02:06.
I launch 4 NSM´s at each Gremyachy from the southwestern most Storm P 965 Gnist.

05:05:56.
HIT! A few seconds later several more hits. The first Grem is lost the second only took one hit, so I still consider that one dangerous.

The second the Sov´s react to the missile attack, I know that I have been made, and advance the Nansen at flank and radars blazing to cover my Storms, but nothing comes the other way.

Less than a minute later a Helix A wanders in range of my ESSM´s and regrets so.

I fire two more NSM´s at the surviving Grem, that dies a few minutes later.

(Later save files confirm that I hit the SS-N-26 launcher with the one missile that got through. One lucky shot indeed.)

After the first missile attack everything cools down a bit.

I follow the Nanuckach´s with my helo, while my Nansen closes. I don´t want to fire from my closer units since that will cause a counter attack.

I fire three NSM´s each at the two remaining Nanuchka´s, from the Nansen.

05:43:22
First NSM hit. Three seconds later the second hit, and obliterates the target. The third continues and hit the second Nanuchka at 05:43:57.
