Units disorganized for no reason when moved

Post by Mayhemizer_slith »

HQ and AT moved together one hex west and got disorganized. If they move one by one, they stay organized.

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Here is save file. Move units together and they will be disorganized.

This is the return of a bug that was squashed long ago but is now making its second encore. Picking up an HQ unit causes all units that rely on it for supply to become OOS until the HQ is placed back down. In this case, that includes the AT unit stacked with the HQ, so the game is treating it as moving while out of supply.

Doesn't that make some kind of sense as the program no longer 'knows' where the HQ is? So until you put it back down and the program can 'see' where the HQ ended up, there is not supply path while the HQ is 'in hand'.

I also move my HQs by themselves simply because I want to make sure they can stack where I want them. If I need/want other units with them, then I just move them in later.

But that will be a problem for you if you ever want to do an overrrun with a stack containing an HQ.

Your right on that account. This one needs to be recorded as a bug (again...)...
