Hard Copy Delivery

Post by Budge4 »

Just a query at moment. I ordered WitP AE on 14th May, had an email with serial num etc saying it should be delivered before 8th June (UK), no sign of it yet though.

I know its only over by a couple of days at moment but wondering how long to leave it before contacting helpdesk.

Anyone else had a hard copy of a game that did eventually turn up, but past the expected delivery date?

My last boxed game (Brother against brother) took around 25 days from the US to Germany.

It should arrive this week.
If it doesn't arrive during the middle of next week please open a tech support ticket.

Ok, thanks very much for the info guys. Im up to 28 days now but still hoping it turns up ok, will give it most of next week and then open a support ticket if I don't receive it.

I did buy a hard copy of "Order of Battle Pacific" about a week or so before WitP AE and that turned up exactly on the delivery date in email, think that was 28th May. Maybe just caught a slow boat this time :(

Thanks once again guys.

Well its finally turned up about an hour ago, but not directly from the carrier. Someone who lives 13 houses further up the street from us found the package totally ripped open and left by their dustbin a couple of days ago, manual and cd box were still wrapped in their cellophane inside ripped package. They have just bought it round to us.

We tried package through letterbox and its just too big to go through it. Their has been no card through our door to say the carrier had left it somewhere, so the carrier either left it outside somewhere and someone has taken it, opened it, and then obviously not interested in it, has then dumped it further up the street. Or the carrier has opened it, not interested in it, then dumped it himself.

No idea who the carrier is at UK end of delivery that Matrix use, but not very impressed with them. The least they could have done is put a card through door to say they had tried delivering it and also what they had done with it, ie: left it with a neighbour or redeliver it another day. Will be a bit wary of buying a hard copy again as was very lucky to get this one.

hi Budge4,
happy you got it sorted.

welcome to witpae-land! enjoy your stay! please visit the forum. [:)]

... and in witpae-land it's 'CV'. (not 'Carrier') [8|]

cheers!
chem!

Thanks chemkid, lol at CV\Carrier :)

Quite a big manual with the hard copy, guess things have moved on update wise but should hopefully get some interesting\useful info from the manual. Not a fan of pdf's. Manuals I will read cover to cover, but pdf's I look at when I need too, which probably will be quite often with WitP AE.

The carrier is the standard postal services, so in UK it should be the Royal Mail Service.
To have a better service is always better to order using a courier service, only it's a little more expensive. To be complete fair, the feedback we receive from our customers is a positive one, so I believe this is more a regrettable exception than the rule.

Please check if the box and the manual aren't damaged and if the disc is working. We are happy to reship your order if needed, just contact us at support[at]slitherine.co.uk or open a helpdesk ticket.
Our apologies for all the inconvenience.

Ive ordered hard copies before and had no problems VPaulus. Had one from Matrix turn up a week or so earlier, no problem with that one, it did fit through the letterbox though, whereas the WitP AE must have been left outside for any dodgy person passing by to grab. Obviously not a computer gaming person as they dumped it after opening the package.

The DVD case, disk and manual are fine VPaulus, wont need to contact support thanks, luckily the cellophane around them was still intact and not had any rain for a few days where I live.

Im sure I will still buy more hard copies, just was a bit unlucky with this one, at least it turned up :)

Thanks for the offer of reshipping though, great support from Matrix Games as usual.
