Bombarding stronghold with artillery

Post by pcelt »

I have 2 questions here. I have just been trying to reduce a French stronghold with artillery attached to my British cavalry division (Ponsonby Heavies)
1)British Cavalry Divisions do not seem to have any ammo wagons for resupply of their artillery units.----is this a mistake which will be corrected in a patch.

2)What is the best way to bombard a stronghold with artillery to successfully breach the walls.

Thanks for any insights.

We'll look into this.

Don't know about bombardment weak points, probably all the same, just pound it.

There is no specific point to target on the walls, just get as many cannon as possible on it. The defending troops will take casualties and the defensive bonus of the walls will drop as you are hitting it. Your attacking troops will then inflict more casualties and you will push the enemy out far quicker.
