Who wants to a be a WitW Pilot?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Who wants to a be a WitW Pilot?

Post by RedLancer »

I must be mad for posting this but here goes....

Pavel has added the ability to add specific named pilots to the game as part of the Torch expansion work.
The current plan is to include a new 43 Campaign with Torch that includes additional Air HQs for those wanting more air control.

I am happy to add player names to the squadrons as part of that scenario. If you have a relative who served and you want them added I'll put them in too. If you want to be added please post below in the following format:

Name with one initial and the air group you want to be in. e.g. R.Lancer - No.224 RAF Pa Sqn (Please only choose air groups in the 43 Campaign)

I'll probably add experience rating based upon rough Matrix forum post count - WitW testers are all 'aces' of course.

So if the pilot named after you is KIA do you have to forfeit the game? :)

N.Oakes - No.611 RAF FB Sqn

R.Milton - No.225 RAF FB Sqn

These are my relatives. They just missed out on being in the war as they were too young but were both in the RAF just after the war.

Also

N.Trubshawe - No.225 RAF FB Sqn

Thanks for doing this.

Okay...count me in. L.Sky

Just kidding....J.Pawlowski II./JG 1

It's the least I can do for the Luftwaffe since I am asking them to fight from the Ruhr in 1944. And for some reason this squadron seems to be doing the best.

J. Brunasky, 31st USAAF FG

John J. "Bruno" Brunasky, 308 FS, was the father of a good buddy of mine who passed away. Earned a DFC over Italy when he was a captain.

Thanks a lot for doing this.

J.Williamson, 429 RCAF.

My father served in this squadron, decades after the war, when it had been converted into a transport squadron.

For myself, however...

J.Williamson, 442 RCAF.

Thanks again...
