Still struggling to do division-level attacks

I'm playing the Waterloo scenario as the French, difficulty normal except couriers required for all moves.

I want to play by divisions, rather than micromanaging brigades. But I have yet to get a divisional-level order to work right. My division commanders move to the spot in question, but then the brigades don't fall into line.

I realize that all units start at TC-on. I tried the keyboard 0, 1, and 2 buttons to take TC off, but nothing seemed to have - no couriers went out, and their status changed.

I put the divisional commanders on TC off by sending out couriers, and also sent TC off orders to the brigade commanders. But I still can't get the divisional move to work right.

Do I need to have TC on for the brigade commanders and TC off for the divisional commander? Or TC off for all? Does it matter what the detach setting is?

And how do I get the TC-all off commands to work?

don't you have to cycle thru each commander and actually click them on or off ?

I would cycle through all commanders, corps, division and brigade? TC off, but leave Detach on?
