Trivial Annoyance Question (UCV)

Sorry to clutter the message boards with this, but I couldn't find it in the docs -

Can one turn off all the splash screens and movies that start when UV cranks up?

Also, the game takes forever to exit back out to the menu in such a way that the menu is actually usuable. I'm talking about 3 minutes of staring at the "Play Uncommon Valor" menu before I can click on "EXIT" and have it work.
