can i have a lager display better than 2d normal?

Post by ufe31415926 »

the screen resolution is increasing, so counters looks too little! eyes cannot afford it...

is it solved by update2.02?

i hope it comes quickly. hps's update had already done, simply enlarging the canvas is enough!

Hello ufe, welcome to the forum!

What we've done with our 2D is rename the old 2D Normal that you're observing quite doesn't do the job anymore (and it doesn't, really), and put it in as 2D Zoom-Out, our 50% view.

The four new 2D zoom levels going forward are

[*] Zoom-In (100%)
[*] Normal (75%)
[*] Zoom-out (50%)
[*] The old 2D Zoom-out is now Extreme Zoom-out (25%)

Looking at this the other way around, what we've done is taken the old 2D Normal terrain and counter graphics and enlargened them 200%. It all results in very pixelated terrain and counter art, so need to redo it all.

For MCS, it will take quite a while to perform the upgrade on all three game and their graphics. Then again, it will be a completely new game after that all things 2D considered, imho.

Hence, as Jason wrote above, it will be called 3.0 and not 2.x something. Worth the wait we hope.

For screenshots regarding the new 2D views, please have a look at the Campaign Series Middle East (CSME) Product Page via the link at Jason's signature, or at the CSME forum via the link on my signature. Hope you like what you see!

I am quite a boardgame geek myself and a fan of 2D views, and we are working feverishly to bring everything up to meet the CS community's expectations.

Hello monjoie,

JTCS 2.0x titles are end-of-lifed, but theres the new CS WW II titles for each three theaters of war in the pipeline. They'll have the new 2D views, and plenty of other exciting stuff in them.

Stay tuned, there's more info about the roadmap in a few months time. Plenty to look forward for!
