I still haven't made a colony yet and have been wondering when all those pesky aliens will stop attacking me. I have my one world with lots of resource planets hooked to it. I have lots of fun attacking pirates to keep my systems clear. I even stopped an attack on earth once by keeping some ships on patrol. I also like to go after other's freighter routes so that they go into turmoil and then I try to watch closely when star systems come out of turmoil so I'm the first kid on the block to build a freighter to it. I've been having lots of fun figuring out how stuff works. I finally have advanced phasor beams and am working the wave line for short-range attacks and am starting to research the dissapation wave. I'm still at ground zero on the standoff weapons. I got to the antimatter age pretty well but am only slowly reaching the singularity age. I have lots of money, about 17,000 in the bank and don't want to spend it on producing more starships as I'm really busy trying to get my research going with only one world to rely on. Man that's tough and I sure need to figure out colony making quicker in my next game. I also played around aiding pirates and trying to foment unrest to early on with too much. I got some spies out but the one big race I'm still ignorant about I'll have to wait until I get my research up to where I want it before I make more informants and spies and find out just how far along that AI opponent is, it came from the little galaxy.
I really enjoy this game. It is lots of fun trying to balance research, diplomacy, and production, with fighting wars at the same time.
