Iran-Iraq war?

Post by Megalomatrix »

I know that the Iran-Iraq war is not listed as covered in the product description...can it be modelled in the (random) map editor?

Iran isn't included in the game.

We will be including the Iran-Iraq war as part of the Cold War game.

No, the planned Cold War game is far into the future. Before then, we will be doing Vietnam 1.0 next, then West Front 3.0, then Korea 1.0, then East Front 3.0, then either Cold War 1.0 or Rising Sun 3.0 -- something like that. But no plan survives contact with the enemy, of course. We shall see.

No, you will not be able to mod the Iran-Iraq War within Middle East. Save it for the planned future Cold War game.

That doesn't mean there aren't elements that aren't being worked on in the background.

For example, Order of Battles and Organizations. This is an extremely time consuming part of the puzzle and I have already started putting together the Soviets (between 1948 and 1985), even though their appearance in a game won't be for awhile.

When you say West/East Front and Rising Sun 3.0 does that mean they will get their own release and cost about $40 or is it getting patched in? I thought the plan was Meddle East, Vietnam, patch of the John Tiller Campaign Series followed by Cold War. I'm on board either way but your comment got me curious.
