Unfortunately, no, a demo won't be made available.

There are a couple videos to check out to see if it is up your alley though.

There are some more videos in the progress of being made.

70$ for a game and no demo? look like that a new bad policy !

unfortunately I'm not this kind of player ready to spend such amount to test a game!

I don't believe that the Matrix Campaign Series came with a demo when we released it back in 2007?

There will be more videos being posted so you can see if it is something you're interested in.

Okay, your claim made me go to the store and look at the price in US dollars 39 dollars for digital download. Seems a good price point to me. I made a purchase 6 years ago of the Campaign Series. What a great purchase. Presently I'm only making purchases of games that I'm sure of. I would have no trouble buying this title without a demo. I follow the videos and read posts to guide me in my purchases. This title means new battle planning(because its modern war). Being an old dog who does not like to learn mew tricks has held me off on the purchase. I may yet be convinced to move to modern warfare. I did play some modern war games when I was younger. The helicopters are cool.

Where in Canada are you?

The digital download is $56.99 CAD

Don't forget, our dollar has tanked over the last year or so. That affects pricing.

This describes me also, WW2 guy all the way.But between Flashpoint and this i'm starting to like the modern war scene. You get a lot of cool, new, lethal toys to play with. If you like JTCS your going to like this modern or not......it plays well and is one of the cleanest releases i've seen, they did a good job testing this. Check the tech thread, always a good indicator of how solid a release is.

Oh thanks Budd, I have a regular opponent in CS he has encouraged me as well. But being such a bad general in WWII games I can only imagine my confusion in generalmanship in Modern war. And getting my butt kicked even worse. Still on the fence though.

Slitherine uses a different store than Matrix did. There will be changes. Let alone the CAD is no longer on par with the USD! (I believe the current exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.31 CAD

39.99 USD x 1.31 = 52.38, which is pretty accurate to what they are asking.

Of course, I'd recommend conversing with Slitherine about the cost/currency issues, as they decide how the games are sold and who sells them. It is our of our hands (as the developers).

While I am familiar with the Thirty Years War, I'm not familiar with the game, so not sure why that was brought up?

I know all about sucking[:D]....get off the fence and jump in. By the time the Vietnam and cold war games come out you'll suck less[;)]...at least thats my theory.

This game is very much indeed up my alley, but I have always liked a demo b4 spending almost $40.00 on a game.

I love this game. Just played Jason's Against all odds scenario. Very well balanced. The Arab coalition was on it's way to grinding out a major victory at 80 points when the released Israeli units to the north swept in and inflicted enough casualties that they could only claim a minor victory. When I look at the new unit counters berto gave us a peak at I think these games will become classics as were the original JTCS.

It has a lot of cooling off to do:) I do like what I am seeing, especially the upcoming enhancements...Matrix needs to give these guys priority instead of end of November:)

yea the waiting....the waiting.... I'm also waiting for the flashpoint update and addon pack. Suddenly i'm a modern war guy. I gotta tell you this is a damn fine game. other than my incompetence as a commander i can't find much to complain about. You guys did a hell of a job testing this game, the tech thread is pretty quiet. So far the scenarios i've played have been pretty balanced and flat out fun. Unless you have a major problem with the CS system you can't go wrong here.
