Hot Seat Mode

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Hot Seat Mode

Post by jcorbin »

Developers,

I am thinking of purchasing this fine game and its Torch add-on.

Two questions:

Can you play in hot seat mode at the same computer (one human as the Axis and the other human as the Allies)? Or must you play against the AI?

What do the boxed versions of each product include?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can play in hotseat mode, or PBEM, or using the Multiplayer server.

The boxed copy of WitW comes with a disk and a 300 page hard bound manual (no box as the manual contains the disk). If you like reading manuals offline, it's the best produced manual I've ever seen.

I highly recommend you grab a hard bound copy of the manual. Best I've seen as well. It has a featured spot on my bookshelf, but typically it's on my desk next to the computer.

I love you guys, but nothing beats the World in Flames manuals in terms of quality and readability.

Nevertheless, buy WitW [:)]
