Extreme Fog of War

Extreme seems like an on/off switch. I played "Picnic" in its entirety and every combat report was "unknown", even among my own casualties. That I think is unrealistic. With Extreme off, you get reports on long distance kills. A happy middle ground would have been nicer.

You'll see improved reporting with the 1.01 UPDATE due at the end of November or early December.

Yeah, it´s the same issue I reported in JTCS.

I know this is being worked on, but what about spotting? it seems to extreme also, isn't the purpose of recon to spot and ID enemy units. Wouldn't you be able to ID a unit [especially vehicles] if in your LOS for a number of turns and you have been trading shots with for a few turns. I spend a bit of time thumbing through the unit viewer to find out the capabilities of the units i'm up against. At least maybe an option to check to have the unit viewer go right to the enemy unit that has been officially spotted. Right now it just seems like a seek and find unit viewer exercise. Enemy unit comes into LOS, you highlight and of course see unknown, you use silhouette picture to go through unit viewer to find unit and its capabilities.I guess i just looking for a way to mitigate some of that and not mess with the attempt at "realism" .

I didn't know this was an issue with JTCS, as I never used the extreme fog option all these years. So it looks like extra programming, and hopefully they can pull it off.
