Is combat AI for both sides?

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Is combat AI for both sides?

Post by tiger111 »

I think the idea of Command decisions is great and I`m sure it`s well imlplemented.

With the Command Dilemmas are there decisios regarding what types of weapons to favour.

Such as StugIII`s versus turreted tanks,Reduce/expand production of advanced vehicles eg Lng barrelled PZII and IV`s or favour Ground attack aircrafr over level bombers.

Rgarding the on map ground/air combat does the AI control the Divs/corps or do we do it maually ( as in War in The East)

Thanks.

P.S. Is it the developers intention to go beyond Spring `42 in later games?(obviously depending on how well this release is received)

You control your sides combat, just as in the other two games.
Windows 7 home premium 64
Intel quad core I7
16 gig
AMD R9 200 series

Hi Augustas,

The hex shuffling aspect of the game is similar to what you'd expect. What's different is a comprehensive Operational Command model that overlays this and which is hooked directly into every part of the hex game.

The number of counters on the map have been deliberately streamlined and aspects such as the Luftwaffe, for example, no longer show as counters.

However they are still in the game and presented in a lot of detail. This allows the game to present you with decisions that matter rather than have you focus on a lot of micromanagement and busywork.

Cheers,
Cameron
