Map with palmtrees?

Hello,

I wanted to create an aera with palmtrees on a desert map by using map editor.
But Palmtrees does appears fine on 2D map but not at all on 3D map?
I could finally get palmtrees on 3D map by selecting "orchard" terrain, but 2D map shows orchard graphics, is it normal?

Not sure I am clear so i join picture for same map with 3D/2D display

Hello Christophe,

Thank you for reporting this! I believe this was an item that is fixed in 1.01.

IIRC the zoom-out 3D vegetation files were missing palm trees, or that they were in wrong off-set.

I see also we cant add "industrial" terrain on desert MAP, wich can be done on Mediterranean MAP
Would it be possible to be added on next update also?

I am afraid the limitations are there for a reason, like industrial was taken out and something else put in. I will mention this in our Dev Forum, but given the hour and 1.01 off our hands in two weeks, chances are it is not possible. In a future update, maybe?

I understand for next update that it will be difficult to achieve, no problem with that.
I check on JTCS West Front desert Map and same problem does exist also.
So if it could be fixed on future release(s) would be great.

Your wish duly noted Christophe! CS: Vietnam will require some additional terrain and vegetation types, so maybe while doing that we add more slots for terrain in general.
