Resupply ship not mining gas

Basically it's not mining the gas cloud.

Dark Fireclaw has been sitting deployed in an oxygen cloud for some considerable time but is not mining.

I think I know why now, I had a gas mining station in the same cloud that was stopping it.

Is it actually deployed? Does it say it is deployed?

Deploying in a gas cloud is difficult until you figure it out. What you see when you select the cloud is the "Cloud system" and you can not deploy on that. You have to zoom in a bit, and click on the colored cloud thing, to select it. That is the piece you deploy on.

The same way that you can not deploy on your capital system, you must deploy on a gas giant inside the capital system. But this is rather obscured in the cloud case.

It should be possibly to deploy a whole lot of resupply ships on a cloud, alongside a mine. Resupply ships from multiple empires too as long as they are not in the mood to fight each other.

There could of course be a new bug from the last few patches, but deploying in gas clouds have worked just fine in the past.

And is oxygen actually fuel? It is not a base game resource. Resupply ships only mine caslon and hydrogen in the base game, I am not sure how that works with modded fuel types. That could of course be a bug. Will it mine oxygen if deployed on another oxygen source?

Caslon appears in oxygen & nitrogen-oxygen clouds.

Yes I have three, all un-damaged. The other two will mine at planets with no problem I have not tried to get them to mine a gas cloud.

You get caslon from an oxygen cloud.

It could indeed be that you found a bug. The last couple of things to test would that the resupply ships are the same design, and that the one in the cloud is not badly damaged so that some critical component is disabled.

No damage. The only thing different that I can see is the problem ship has it's own fuel level in the red and there is a Gas mining Station in the cloud.

And the gas mining station got the fuel needed in store ruling out other issues with the cloud?

I believe resupply ships should refuel themselves while mining, although I am not sure. But it is obviously not mining in this case.

Yes as a fleet refuelled from it. I sent it there after the resupply ship with the intension of sending the resupply ship further out once the station had been built but the resupply ship never took any fuel.

Yes they do or should if they are deployed, hence taking on fuel.

I've accidentally deleted the game but I'm trying to reproduce the fault but can't.
