I take it your patch didn't correct the historically inaccurate map?

Just to put this in perspective, you are probably only talking about ONE hex that has zero impact on gameplay, and that becomes part of German territory the instant that any of the nearby German units begin to move. The yellow line that you are interpreting as a border is actually the edge of controlled territory, and updates dynamically during play.

Perspective and getting things in proportion.
Could not put it better.
Congratulations on a very good and enjoyable game with or without the hex change :-)

No, its 4 hexes, and in the photo I saw, there were at start Soviet units in those hexes.

Sorry, but I'm a grognard (40 plus years of gaming...longer than you have been alive?)...a stickler for historical accuracy. If this game does not have that, then I need to move on.

Anyone who thinks that the original Avalon Hill Gettysburg was played on hexagons is a relative newcomer.

Excuse me Philippe, was that comment intended for me? If so, kinda out from left field. What does the original AH Gettysburg have to do with anything here? My first game was Tactics II (squares, not hexes). But what does that have to do with the missing 4 not 1 HEXES from East Prussia?

FYI: The start of Barbarossa from Memel and Memelland was important. See German 291st Inf Div and 41st Mot Corp vs the Soviet 10th Rifle Corp. Far left Baltic wing...Memel to Kretinga to Palanga on the first few days. No initial river crossing.

Is it stupidity or lack of curiosity? For sure its the public school system.

Cameron (lancer) just addressed your point in another post. He says you are correct and a forthcoming patch will address it.

Thank you very much Webizen! That's what I want to hear. I'll be looking forward to that patch upon which time I will buy the game.

Pretty sure it was in response to your jab at him.

I hope not.

And I had mine until two years ago when they got lost in a move (still upset because they were beautiful).

save games are compatible.

but if playing with a game started in the unpatched version make sure to play your reinforcement army cards the turn that you receive them to avoid potential glitches.

best wishes,
Vic

Tactics II? Brings back memories. Anyone remember Niuechess and Dispatcher? Good times.

Anyway, thanks for the patch!

I still have my copy of Tactics II and quite a few other board wargames from the golden age of board wargaming.
