Love it..

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Love it..

Post by wodin »

I was a beta tester and I have to say I can't express how much I love this wargame. It pretty much fits the bill in everything I'd want at a wargame of this scale except maybe would have been better wego. The parts that are abstracted I feel are justified and work and the parts that are not again I feel work aswell.

However that's beside the point, no wargame at this scale has ever given me so much immersion, infact it oozes it. I just love it. Another thing I love is how the decision making\roleplay element isn't just some gimmick but a major aspect of the game and I truly hope this now leads the way for designers to start think abit more out of the box and creating wargames with new unique features that really take wargaming to another level.

Finally this scale wargame has never been a favourite of mine, mainly due to the fact I find it hard to get fully immersed, so tactical wargames have always been the thing that gives me the greatest buzz. So for a wargame of this scale to impress me so much and for me to put it easily into my favourite wargames of all time is something.

For me it has very chance of becoming a classic of the genre, infact it already has done for myself.

I rarely recommend games as I know one mans meat is another mans poison. However I have no qualms in recommending this.

A huge thanks from me and a massive thumbs up.

Alright, another purchase. I guess the kids will have to do without this Christmas.

Thanks Wodin for your endorsement, I respect your opinions a lot with regards to games I will enjoy.
