Just Gotta Do It (off topic)

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Just Gotta Do It (off topic)

Post by Missouri_Rebel »

Down here at our cabin in the woods and using hotspot over my phone. I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one and download it. I've been in a dry spell as far as wargames go but this one here looks interesting to say the least. I like the RPG aspect and hope it grabs me unlike so many others seem to do. So while the missus decorates her tree I'll use some of my data up.

Nice. We had two but our older dog died a few years ago. They are great dogs.

Our oldest was 15 when she died. Almost blind and deaf so it was time. Will put up a pic of our younger one when my wife forwards one to me. None on this computer.

Daisy in the front was our older Boston who died. Peanut is next to her. She just turned 7.

Oh wait, this is a Barbarossa forum. My mistake, those were Stalin's dogs, yeah that's it....

Awesome. Look at the ears on that Brindle. The old girl resembles a male I have. We have a Brindle also I didnt show that wondered up to our house one winter night malnourished and pregnant. She had 2 pups which died minutes after birth a day later. We found her owner and she was kept chained up outside without shelter. Every chance that dog had to get away she would come down. He must have beat her because she was skittish for quite some time and to this day me raising my work boots near her makes her cry out. The owner didnt want her and I told his son after she came back again one last time that if he wanted his dog he could come down and get her. I was going to tell him off at this point.

Shes been with us 4 years now.

Always had big dogs but these guys are a trip.

Thanks. I had a thread when I was building it that showed it in stages. Tons of work. But yeah, much to my wifes pleasure and my disgust its 37 outside and hovering around 80 in here now with the window cracked. [:(]

1st from when I was finishing the side deck and 2nd from the steps. I built a ton of raised beds in front last summer that this pic doesnt show

Yeah retired? Sounds great. 45 so still some time to go. Im getting there. I don't owe anybody and nobody owes me. The way I prefer it. The missus insists that I show her contribution. Thanks for allowing me to share my passions. Funny what a broad cross-section of people we get here.

Absolutely. Its just a small 30ish acre one so gets a little warm in the missouri deep summers but we have a trail through the woods to a nice crystal clear river about a mile away. That is where I spend much of my time in the heavy heat. The water is always cool. Thats what the dogs are swimming in in the pic above.

If you have to keep a hobby, its a good one to do.

Conflict with the unexpected: two qualities are indispensable; first, an intellect which, even in the midst of this obscurity, is not without some traces of inner light which lead to the truth; second, the courage to follow this faint light. KvC
