Toe import template vonkey

Ive been making templates for different ground troops and have saved them (export). Several occations I imported one previously exported to have a base for another ground unit type. It seams that all templates above in the list is also retrieved. No biggy now when I just got 6 but eventually it will be a bother.

Also: Go to unit from oob in statistic or got to parent HQ from unit end up in spain map(when playing as Italy in GD 1938 that is) but right unit is showned.

I'm not certain what you are trying to say here. A xxxx.atgtoe file is a collection of unit templates (1 to however many you created). Note that a xxxx.atgtoe file created for a mod (i.e. Bombur's mod or the GD1938 mod) is not usable in any other mod or standard ATG. A xxxx.atgtoe file for standard ATG isn't going to work in one of those mods either. This is because each of these has their own unique list of sft-types. In other words if you play standard ATG you'll need an atg.atgtoe file. If you play the GD1938 mod then you will need a gd1938.atgtoe file, etc.

I try to translate my swedish to English but I gonna try better this time. Im guessing that ,what ever files toe unit creator is using the toe creator is the same in any scenario. So to import already exported(saved) matrixes gets you all in the list of matrixes. I can be clearer there, I guess.
In my other post where I refered to a specific scenario/mod the point is that Im guessing(havent tried it yet on any other scenario/random game)that the engine the game used dont focus on the hq/unit that it let you jump too. Info and statistic is there but map show other place.To remidy this I guessing dont let the game jump away or give proper coordinates to the code, making this "jump".(just a dev hint [:)] )
So I just tell that what I found out, so if its WAD or a bug, well I let others tell.

Ok nice. In my case, If I try to use say flak as template to maybee make a hvy flak I import it right? And when that is done I have recieved flak and all template above. So as I probably already got them in my list for this scenario I need to delete them as it was just flak I needed.

Template applied. There may be a way to design a scenario so that templates are already applied to appropriate unit types but if so I'm personally not familiar with it.

Think of the .atgtoe file as a self-contained container holding any number of unit templates. You create and export it for later use. You don't create an atgtoe file with only one unit type in it so that you can import it into a larger atgtoe file (i.e. you don't create a flak.atgtoe and a heavyflak.atgtoe and then import into swedewolf.atgoe (well, you can but that workflow seems inefficient). You import the swedewolf.atgtoe into your game (scenario) and then edit, add or delete from it using the editor. Re export if you wish to save. Give a new name (swedewolf1.atgtoe) if appropriate. Hope this makes sense.

If you import multiple .atgtoe files in one game, the last one imported starts where the first one left off. I'd rather try to order them by the most used templates near the top. By the way the .atgtoe file is simply a text file so you can open in any text editor. If you briefly study the structure you can edit outside of the game. I've done this to reorder my list.

Note: also beware there is a small bug in that if you exceed 27 unit templates the last one is unusable. So if you need 28 templates you need to create 29, need 30 then create 31, etc.

Yup, after a short time fiddling around I like this improvement for the game. And as you say, as there are no (still anyway)ready made templates in any given scenario, I try to help the future "me" when starting up more scenarios.
An additional querry. Is the gd 1938 the only (atm) that got the to&e included? I will probably try to include to&e in the small "germansovietwithleader" scenario this weekend. As I realizing it a bit daunting for the guys (friend and also my son) I persuaded to play this with me.

Bombur and Ormand Mods both have TO&E in their latest version. I'll check if Lancer's EMS Mod can handle it.

I cant find them in the upload3 that is awailable to me. So I try to check if any with late date got toe. And dl´ed the 4 seasons mod(from upload3) but it didnt start lots of file where missing it said. No problem I thought. Just delete them and check again for other mods. Now every time I start the game, it asking me if I want to run 4 seasons? I removed it. So where is the remnant positioned? Has the game been corupted by this?

About the mods(bombur and ormand) can they be retrieved in otherways? As im excluded from the normal mods site. (it doesnt accept my hotmail, and I dont like open new email accounts as I already got a bunch where passwords are forgotten long ago)

Go to your ATG mods folder and delete any 4 Seasons text files. C:\Matrix Games\Advanced Tactics Gold\Mods\
