Right Click to Complete Movement Order Change

Post by Nicholas Bell »

When setting the final movement waypoint, replace having to right click the unit to simply right clicking anywhere. Having to move back to the unit serves no purpose I can see since the unit is still selected and is inefficient.

The game also allows you to confirm the order (final waypoint) with the 'Enter' key.

We will be looking at a few changes to the mechanics of giving orders in the next game with the new Orders and SOPs features we are working on. As for the method now, yes you need to "confirm" the order by either clicking back on the unit, clicking on the unit counter image in the UDP or hitting enter. We have it the way it is because you can still lay a path and then change it via dragging the waypoints and also you can click on a waypoint to open the waypoint editor to set delay times on moves. Clicking on the map to enter would generally be easier to confirm, but would be more of a hindrance when adjusting waypoints and you miss or slip off.

Can it be mapped to another key? It would be more convenient to have Shift or Ctrl as those keys are on both sides of the keyboard.

No key mapping option currently. Just those three methods to confirm orders.
