Suggestion for a future game scale

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Suggestion for a future game scale

Post by Iñaki Harrizabalagatar »

Hi
I find the game interesting, but after a while, especially with the soviet side, it is rather boring to move so many counters around.
I think I would find more interesting a more strategy scale game, German Corps vs Soviet Armies, 15 days turns, 1941/1945 scenario.

Wif is a brilliant design but a game without an AI just won't cut it in 2015, if it ever did. DC is a great system, and one that I think could be pretty flexible in scale should Vic/Cameron wish to change the scale. For now, I would like to see other theatres modelled but it could work on a strategic scale I'm sure.

Your are wrong about WiF [:)]

As bad as I am, I am a better AI for the game than any that would be developed for the game [:D]. So I am fine without an AI in WiF [:)]

I too would rather have the mix of political and military decisions at a larger military scale as I don't like having that many counters to move during so many turns. As other have pointed out, as much as I love physical WiF, I don't feel like playing a version without AI, and I cannot even really play against someone else, given the number of decisions to take during the opponent's turn.
