AGS trucks

Post by RCHarmon »

Is it just me that has major truck problems in the south as the Axis?

I take Lvov as fast as I can and relocate the base even though I could go gobble up more Soviet divisions and I still end up with a chronic truck problem.

Who do I need to keep happy or what am I doing wrong here. Before I even get to Kiev I have major problems.

Also, Vinnitsa needs to be an option for a forward base.

For truck maintenance it is 19 PPs. that is just nuts.

No, it's not just you - every German player winds up with chronic truck problems at some point!

For AGS in the beginning, try to minimise the distance your trucks have to travel right from turn one. Make sure your panzer group HQ is on a transport line if possible - avoid overland truck routes whenever possible. No later than turn 2, you should be trucking fuel through Przemysl straight through to your HQ, rather than the circuitous truck route that you start with in AGS. Take Lwow on turn 2 or 3 and relocate FSB there immediately, that should help a bit. Or if you can grab it and keep a line clear, wait until turn 3 or 4 and relocate FSB to Proskorow - but either way, keep the HQ on a transport line.

Keep Wagner happy and the cost of truck-related decisions goes down. But it's devilishly hard to maintain positive relations with train guy, truck guy, and your theater commanders. They each want different things...
