Confused about how to adjust morale

Post by elmo3 »

Wanted to reduce Soviet morale by 10 points so I adjusted it in the historical library by changing the "Mor" field for all the units in section 28. However that does not appear to work. In the screen shot I still see morale at 50. I assume changing the "Base Morale" field in section 22 won't work either. So how do I drop Soviet morale? Thanks.

Hi Elmo,

Thanks for reporting this.

There where some inconsistencies in the Simple Editor handling morale.

v0.79L is coming up shortly.

The correct way for it to work with this version is:

1. You change the Mor stat in the historical editor as shown in your screenshot above.

2. You reload that historical library.

Should be straight forward and without issues.

The 'Mor' rating in the historical unit model should be the one thats used.

Base morale is something that only kicks in once a unit has dropped below the base morale rating and will make the unit slowly climb back to that base morale over time.

Best wishes,
Vic

Since I dropped the morale of all Soviet units by 10 don't I also need to adjust the base morale down by 10? Otherwise it is 10 points higher than the starting morale of all my units and would cause morale to rise above the start if I am following you.
