I still play MULE on my Atari 800. I bought a spare on eBay for the day it breaks. [8D]

I didn't have these, but I did have the 2600 console. Played the cr@p out of I think it was called River Rats? I could never beat my girlfriend's score[:@]

Yep. The 70's were definitely Atari's high water mark, with the 2600 consoles (and the joysticks that never lasted). A WHOLE lot of pong on TVs back then... which made the latter 70s, the low water mark for bowling alleys that had been raking in the Pong quarters.

Atari Vault is coming to Steam

Atari will release 100 of its classic games in a single package for Steam, called Atari Vault, this spring, it said today. So far, it promises to include Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Tempest, and Warlords in the package, with online multiplayer and Steam leaderboard support. In addition, Atari's press release promises 'precision control' via the Steam Controller, which could be quite appealing if done correctly. Many classic Atari games like Centipede originally used a trackball controller, which few PC users today have access to. The bundle is currently being developed by Code Mystics and is set to launch this spring. No word yet on pricing or which other games the bundle will include.

No real need for trackball. Marble Madness plays just fine with a keyboard.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.
