Font size/colors

I was here for another issue, apparently because I've upgraded to Windows 10 since I last played Distant Worlds (solved now), so I thought I'd ask this as well.

The font size in Distant Worlds is much too small for me, though I can usually manage. I've managed in the past, at least. However, that dark blue on black font color, used a few places in the game, is completely unreadable for me.

I mean, I can tell that there's text, but that's about it. If it says anything important, I have no idea what it might be. Is there any way to change that?

As far as I can tell, there are virtually no graphics settings I can make to the game at all. I don't even know what resolution it runs in (which might have been my other problem with the game). I can get by without knowing what the dark blue on black text says - I have in the past, certainly - but I thought I'd ask if I've missed something.
