insert disk #2

insert disk #2

i know this was asked some time ago, but i didnt cathc the answer -
when upgrading to spwaw v 4.2, i get an "insert disk 2" message. obviously there is no disk 2 but the upgrade wont go on. what am i supposed to do at this point? sorry about repeating the questions here.

The file wasn't downloaded completely. Sorry, but i think you will have to download the file again...

how is that possible? it was listed as "download complete" and my download device shut down automatically. if that didnt work...then whats to say the next time i wont have the same problem?

Sorry to say but you have a corrupted download. It happens sometime bad connection or real busy lines.

Just for info, I read recently on another post for another game that the new DSL lines have cross talk and that it may be interfering with downloads. Image For what it's worth it may be an answer to some download problems. Image

From what I remember reading, there was a problem in the file sizes of stuff that was mirrored...as a result, you didn't get the whole thing, and that's why the install program is asking for disk #2.

I'd suggest downloading it from the Matrix site (that's what I had to do...had the same problem).
