Map Mod's available for stock ?

Post by scout1 »

Curious as to whether there is any easy way of hunting down available map mod's for a stock game ... Seen many really nice looking ones on the forum, but no idea where they reside .... ?

The RHS Level I map system will work with stock scenarios. It actually uses stock map panels (only
slightly modified - removing names which were not used in that era for example) - so it does not
look different. But they are extensively developed with respect to road, railroad and trail networks
(stock does not use trails except under railroads), and in particular with respect to navigation along
rivers. [Rivers are in many cases the most important LOC in the area and they matter for logistics even
if not involved in a military campaign per se.] FYI. While at last RHS has attracted a serious mapmaker,
he wanted to use the Extended Map System, so RHS Level II will not be playable with stock scenarios
even when it gets its (two) new map art systems.
