TotH Scenario Design Questions

Post by Big Ivan »

Development Team

I just got done developing a scenario of my own creation. However I can't see in the editor where to do the write up about it.
There is no menu item for scenario description?

Also when I go to play my creation through the game interface it appears on the list as a scenario that can be picked and played, OK that's good!

But when I go to the scenario folder under the game in program files my scenario is not listed there in the Scenarios folder, Hmmm?

Is it stored somewhere else?

Apologize if this was covered in another thread and I missed it.

Thanks
John

Hi John,

First you have to do the write up manually with windows notepad. I would open one for one of the other scenarios and instantly save it under a new name and you have a duplicate. Now write your own description and test it to see if it fits the description window in the game.

Now for your other problem, I have he same by the way. This is down to Windows Smart Screen. I guess you installed the game in the default folder, Program(X86)\Matrix Games\Tigers in the Hunt. You can either:

1. Reinstall the Game in another folder, for instance c:\Matrix Games\Tigers on the Hunt and it will fix it for you (don't forget to backup any save files or content you have downloaded

2. Save the scenario in another folder outside of Program(X86) folder. Then copy it to the scenario folder. This also worked for me.

Thanks Jorgen!

You've been a big help! I'll probably try your step 2 on the saves. I tried taking a text file out of the scenario file,
renaming it and then doing the write up. When I was done it wouldn't let me save it in the original scenario file (permission error)under the new name.

Thanks again!
