Defiance on Hill 30 - scenario comment(s)

Post by Krys »

This is the first scenario from okiefire_ssl . I just finished it, so thought I'd quickly thank him (or her?) for making it. I found it quite well balanced, very impressively so particularly for the first mod he (she?) made.

My German force captured the last of of the 4 VP objectives on turn 9 of the 9 game turns, winning a close combat melee to eliminate the last of the enemy and achieve victory at the last possible minute.

A two map scenario with relatively few units, it was quick, enjoyable, yet still required good concentration of my forces, a moderately stealthy approach through the woods with a final charge on the enemy stronghold which - barely! - carried the day.

Thanks for your work on this one - keep it up! It also reminded me that my mod-making efforts don't ALWAYS have to be massive clashes of 20 or more units on each side to be fun, something that I need to keep in mind,

Thanks Krys. I'm glad you enjoyed it. After play-testing the AI setup, I placed the mortar and MMG in what I thought would be the best initial spots. Otherwise they were useless. I hope to be posting more scenarios soon. Thanks for the feed back.

BTW, I am a "he". [;)]
