V&G on a Surface Pro 4

Post by cometsoft »

This game looks intriguing. Any ideas how it would run on Win 10 on a Surface Pro 4? Am concerned about fonts being too small.

Thx

You should be good to go. If I understand the tech specs for the Surface Pro 4, the screen is actually 2736 x 1824 pixels at 267 DPI. The game will, by default, try to run at half of that. The fonts should be OK at that size.

The game uses its own fonts, so system settings by themselves won't affect it. Smaller screen sizes do mean smaller fonts in the game, of course. You can enter a custom resolution for the game which will make things a little larger if the default setting is too small. The exact available resolutions will depend on your hardware. But you should be able to get a setting which will work for you when playing the game.

I have tried on my Surface 3 which runs natively at 1920x1280.
I've reduced the desktop resolution to 1440x900 and the game run well.
The size of the fonts are OK for me, but I wear glasses. :)

I've got a surface pro 4 and it works well on my screen. Very legible and very playable. I can tell it doesn't run at the native resolution, but it still looks great.
