GD 1938 has been updated! Thanks for all the feedback!

This update has to do with a new way of attaining victory in the game. Instead of the old way, which was each nation chose a number of set choices, now there is a completely different way. Don't worry, if you enjoyed the old way, it is still available.

Basically there is now an extra option upon startup. You can select Old Victory Conditions, to get the game like it was before, or not select it, which will select the New Victory Conditions.

The New Victory Conditions can be summed up as follows. To get overall victory a player and his allies must all in all control 66% of all VPs. 33% of those VPs (that means half) will need to be your own. This will result in longer games, but that seemed the way we were heading anyway.

The Nation first achieving this condition, will be appointed winner, and the game will appoint the allies of that player as minor victors as well.

So all in all, rather daunting.

I suggest to play this game with a single house rule. You cannot transfer hexes to an ally if he owns more VP than you. Notice that transfers to countries with less VP are neutral as far as overall victory is concerned, and are even harmful to the player that owns more VP´s.
