Costal Air Forces, Supplies, U-Boats, AAA Flak

Post by FireDog »

I have been leaving my coastal air forces spread out throughout 1943 under the assumption they are protecting my supplies from U-Boats. Is this unnecessary? Would they be better used where my units are more active?

When you use Shift-O to view units flack values, does anyone know what it means when it has a dash (-) instead of a 0-9 number?

I would like to thank everyone for their posts. They are helpful and have good advice.

The only use for the coastal aircraft is to fly naval interdiction in the sea zones. Against the AI you can just leave them alone to do their thing automatically...but against a human you may have to react to his attempts at gaining control of a sea area.

Control is having 2 or more interdiction points then the other guy.

When you have control....you will suffer very little attrition moving at sea. When the other guy has control, you will suffer.

The FlaK numbers are Light | Heavy. If there is a dash ( - ) then it means there is none. A zero means there is some, but not enough to show a 1.
