Difficulty with the Airbase and FSB Movement

Post by demyansk »

The one thing that I am having a hard time picking up with the game is the original location of the airbase and fsb when the reports come up for relocation. I know the chief of staff or whoever is writing the report recommends a movement. However, could the reports say moving from say Warsaw to Lvov? I am missing something here even though I look on the little map in the reports.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi demjansk,

It's not as obvious as it should be but the information is there.

For airbases the second report in the bundle is always from Reichamarshal Göring strongly suggesting you remain at the current (highlighted) location.

For FSB's it's in the main report as in the attached pic.

Cheers,
Cameron

Thanks, for some reason I missed it. I know the little map in the report has flags in it.

I do most of my strategic planning on the main map with the units turned off.

I can usually remember where my FSB's are because I obsess about them so much, and am constantly checking to make sure that each army group's line of advance is moving along a rail line that I had planned to convert to German gauge. It's also pretty obvious where they are because trains go in and trucks go out.

Not so with the active airbases. They're hard to spot on the map even with all the units turned off, and I keep fiddling with how they look in attempt to make things easier to read.

You might want to take a look at the relevant thread in the mod section: there are three screenshots that show what things can look like when the units are turned off.

Hi,

Yep, Philippe has done a good job with this and it wasn't an easy thing to do.

It may well help make things clearer for anyone who's having trouble with this aspect of the game.

Recommended.

Hi demjansk,

Your chief of staff, like other characters in the game, has a point of view.

With every decision there will be conflicting opinions. It's up to you to decide what's best.

Cheers,
Cameron
