>12 Replacement Aircraft Added at One Time

Post by witpqs »

Go to Hanoi. There are a number of C-27 squadrons with 0 aircraft. They are size 16 squadrons. Go to the air unit screen for one of them and press the button to get max replacement aircraft (I don't know the proper name of the button). It fills the squadron to 16 planes instead of only getting the max of 12 planes allowed per week as replacements.

The following day I tried it with another squadron there and it added 15 planes (the pool only had 15) instead of limiting to 12.

I have always thought this was intended. If a squadron has 0 aircraft, it will fill out completely.

Well, I'm not saying that it is intended, just that since it's always happened for me but only when at 0 aircraft in the unit, I thought it was intended. In my mind, it's similar to upgrading the unit.

Might be so. These guys (squadrons) were not upgraded, just emptied out, but that might be the intent of the behavior. I just mean that I had no idea whatsoever...

Yes, a '0' plane group will fill out in one turn. I think that this was related to the ability for '0' size groups to arrive as reinforcements.
I had forgotten that rule also[&:].

Cool with me, I just didn't know about it (along with 10**94 other things). [:D]

You just can't add any reserves to it [:(].

Can't you after the replacement delay ends?

Yes, sorry. I just meant when initially taking the full regular complement from 0, it's not possible to also add reserves.
