Unit movement animation issue in Win10

Post by rherrera »

I am playing EF on win10. Is there a way to see the whole unit (battalion on up) move on screen. It used to show that in win7. In win10, the animation only shows the first 2 or 3 platoons moving. Then the thinking aero shows up while no movement of units but with the sound of units moving. Then after a few seconds, the entire unit shows up at new location. is there a fix to this? I want to see the entire unit move one by one just like before.

This sometimes happens if multi-tasking processes in the background are using up excessive CPU cycles, i.e, if your system is unusually busy. A reboot will often fix the problem. Recommended.

Otherwise, if this behavior is an artifact of the latest Windows 10 update, else peculiar to your video card & drivers, there is nothing we can do.

What you might try is to play around with compatibility modes. In Windows Explorer, right click on the game EXE (for instance, the ef application), select Properties, then select the Compatibility tab, then try one of the compatibility modes.

You can also look to increase the priority of the foreground running application (at the expense of less priority for background processes). Try Googling: windows 10 application priority.

Good luck.

You were right. It was because of multitasking or in my case, brutally overtasking my i7-5820K. Thanks Berto.
