Alt Snow

Post by sPzAbt653 »

A few have mentioned that the snow is a bit obscury. I thought so too and have modified it a little bit. If anyone else would like to try it, it is attached below. Instructions for those that need it will follow.

First, after download, change the .txt extension to .png. You need to change your Folder Options to not hide extensions in order to do this. You will get a pop=up warning about the file becoming unusable, but the computer is wrong, go ahead and do it.

Next, go to the folder as shown in this screen shot, and back up the 'weather_sprites' file. I do this by simply adding an 'O' to the name. This keeps the original intact in case you want to revert to it later.

Now, insert the new 'weather_sprites.png' file into the folder. Done.

Here is the same file for the zoom level, if you need it. Follow same instructions as above.

sPZ could you do the same thing you did for snow to rain? For both zoom levels? It would be nice for me to be able see a bit clearer through through the rain. My eyes, they be bad :)

BTW, the snow change you did is fantastic.

I took a look at the rain graphic and I don't think I can do anything with it. [:(]

For the next build I'll try a set of snow and rain weather sprites with reduced opacity to see what everyone things of them and then go from there.

Awesome thanks Hubert! Save both copies for release so people can have whatever version fits their desire
