How do amphibious invasions work?

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

How do amphibious invasions work?

Post by pvthudson01 »

I was wondering how complicated the naval transport would be in this game. I found it unintuitive in the other titles and Im hoping its as easy as click to load and unload like other games.

Same idea, left click to choose the unit, then right click to see the option to transport, either amphibious or regular. Pay the appropriate MPPs and the unit loads into the transport as long as it is adjacent to a port hex.

Special Forces can embark into amphibious mode from any coastal hex.

Amphibious transports are not allowed to move the turn they embark, but normal transport can travel their entire alloted movement allowance unloading into another port hex at the end of the move if they wish. A simple right click accomplishes the disembarkment.

Units in amphibious mode, the next turn they are allowed to move, can actually attack an enemy shore based unit and then disembark into a vacant coastal hex, again, a simple right click gets it done.
