Please list your system specs here

Post by jpinard »

Hubert and I are trying to track down why my game is crashing. To more easily see if there's any commonality or lack thereof, please post your system specs in the following format:

* Intel Core i7 4790k (quad core HTT active)
* Two Ndivia 970's in SLI v368.81 default settings
* Playing at native screen resolution of 2560x1600
* Asus Maximus VII Formula
* 16 Gig High Speed RAM with tight timings and 1T command rate
* Windows 10 x64 is installed on SSD. This is the only thing on this particular HDD.
* SC3 is installed on mechanical drive. The is a dedicated game drive (D:)
* Creative Labs Sound Blaster Zx
* Windows 10 is up to date.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Z drivers for windows 10 are hit and miss at best in some game,

is it a new fresh install or an upgrade from a free older version? making windows less stable imo, if so download the latest iso from M/S and reinstall a fresh new copy and wipe out all the older left over junk and have a more stable and imo cleaner system.

is anything on the system overclocked?

So it looks like I'm the only person running the latest Nvidia drivers.

Zak - the Zx drivers are latest from Creative. I don't have any crashes with my OS nor any other games. It's too bad it can take up to 2 hours of gameplay before the crashing starts. No I don't have anything overclocked and when I did this install of Windows 10 it was a fresh/clean install. It's rock solid. I can actually run both Doom and Kerbal Space Program at the same time LOL.

Hardly having any crashes. Hubert fixed all of them.
Did you check your tempertures? Try to disable SLI.
It gives quite alot of stability issues on some games.
Did you overclock? If so, try to disable it and try again.
Try to play without sound. I've had games where creative fucked up with their drivers.

* Intel Core i7 3770k running at 4,6ghz(quad core HTT inactive)
* EVGA Ndivia 980ti Classified Latest drivers
* Playing at native screen resolution of 2560x1440
* Asus Maximus V Extreme
* 16 Gig High Speed RAM with tight timings
* Creative Labs Sound Blaster Zx
* Windows 10 is up to date.

I've installed the Nvidia driver 368.81, and had not a single creash or any other problem because of the driver.
