About naming

Post by raeper »

Id like to have that kind of options that you can name soldiers :) i just would love to see myself fighting with my friends there, in same company or tank :)
and even somekind showing that if soldier gets promoted, i remember that there was first cc that it was Green square around guy who got promotion and red if got demotion, if i remember righly :)
and that kind of option too that you cant see what there is coming on other side, there need to be somekind supprice element, it so easy to look next tab, okey there is 3 tanks coming. and u can buy guys for those.
it was "fun" in bridge too far, that there was nice element of supprice to get couple tigers agains you and u were in deep shit after that :D

thx :))

The 'story' element of TBF is still being polished, but I know that we are keen to get back to the small unit feel of some of the original CCs. Naming (or at least knowing) your men is part of that for sure.

Unless Steve tells me I am wrong [:)]

You are not wrong, Pip. :)

Naming your soldiers is a neat suggestion. I can't guarantee that I'll have time to add the ability to rename each individual soldier as you wish, but you will be able to modify the names files (as you can in all the versions of CC) to put your friends' names into the list that is used to randomly name every soldier.

Thanks Steve! The ability to substitute names has always been a favorite mod from the CC series. Now we are assured to name a soldier Ryan, just so we can go save him. [:)]
