Embarrasingly basic question

I have CMANO running on win10. The game runs fine and I'm trying to play the 1st tutorial. I'm having an issue with hotkeys working, but I think that's a separate issue. My question is that if I select 4 ref points (which I created) I should be able to create a Patrol mission in that box. My problem is that the interface tells me it's illegal and the map shows the 4 lines connecting diagonally rather than forming a square. What am I doing wrong? (being a really old Harpoon guy messing me up?)

The reference points aren't ordered correctly so your defined zone is more like an x. We put some validation checks in to warn you when that happens. You can correct this by shifting the positions of two the reference points.

If its just a 4 point square or rectangle area in the future use define zone/area. It will drop the reference points correctly for you and lets you draw the actual zone on the map.
