World viewing bug

Post by EricLarsen »

I went into my game from last night and proceeded to build some more interstellar standoffs as I had been doing last night. After getting all 10 of my worlds IS weapons built I then went to targeting them when I discovered something was missing. The Oxalans had two worlds, Bootis and Brahe yet only Bootis was showing on the targetting list for the IS weapons. I then checked my spy screen and sure enough Brahe was missing. I could target Brahe with an attack mission with my ships but it was missing from the IS targetting list and the spy screen. So I built another informant and spy for Brahe and then an IS weapon and sure enough Brahe was in the IS targetting list again. I checked my spy screen and found that I now had 2 informants and 2 spies like I knew I would since I knew I had one of each there before saving last night.

I tried going back into the same saved game but I found that now it showed Brahe correctly in the IS weapon screen and the spy screen. I have had problems before where I wouldn't find some world in the spy screen so I'd build more informants and spies only to discover that I then had duplicates. This doesn't happen very often but it sure is annoying when it does and it tricks you into building unnecessary informants or spies. It is also annoying to want to target a world with IS weapons only to find it is not in the targetting list and even trying to manually target the world doesn't help.

Andrew, please fix this so that worlds don't arbitrarily drop off the IS targeting and spy screens.
