GUI Bug w/Mouse wheel

Post by Mr.Frag »

Just ran into this one.

Looking at an individual ship panel from within the port list ships panel ... I roll the mouse wheel I pop back to the list ships panel, except I am not really there, part of the screen is still at the ship detail panel. I can scroll the listing of ships though, but I have to click the back button to actually get to the REAL ships list panel.

I don't know if this will help but do you have the latest driver for your mouse? Also for your graphics card?

Yea, latest drivers Ross. nVidia GeForce 3 & Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical both running latests drivers under Windows 2000 Server :D (I use the machine for other things too). If Microsoft Flight Sim runs clean with graphics maxed, I tend to not blame the machine. I have a few hundred other programs here, that do not have any issues. Might be a Win 2K thing with UV

I have the latest Nvidia drivers, and I have seen this mouse-wheel oddity since they added the mousewheel support.
I love it when a plan comes together.

I dont use the very latest Nvida drivers. Even Mircosoft is telling people to not use them with CFS3. I use 30.82 driver and have never seen this whell mouse problem. Microsoft also recommend this driver.

Call me crazy here, but it seems to me the graphics drivers should have nothing to do with determining the window that's getting the mousewheel up/down messages.

The fact that some graphics drivers don't display the scrolling doesn't mean that its not taking place in the background.
I love it when a plan comes together.
