1940 Campaign Report

Post by AZKGungHo »

I played the 1940 Campaign through to the end with the AI controlling both the Axis and the Russians while I took the Western Allies.

The game ended in an major Allied victory, thanks almost entirely to the AI Russians. After taking France in the usual amount of time the Germans attacked Russia just after the historical start date. But they didn't get very far. Riga, Minsk and Kiev were never taken. The war ended in July 1944 with the Russians taking Germany, Greece, Italy and they were over the Rhine at the end.

Watching the AI play was very interesting and confusing at times. That makes sense I guess since it's Artificially Intelligent while I'm naturally not-so-smart, so why would I be able to make sense of what it's doing?

Russia had more MPPs than they could use, ended up with over 10,000 unused points. I cut off UK support for them and it didn't seem to hurt them at all.

I'm going to play through the updated 41 campaign next and see how it goes. I had fun, no bugs were found, and my only wish was more MPP's for the US and the UK.
