WitP AE Command Line Help

Post by solops »

WitP is one of those games that I have had for a long time that I have never gotten very far into because I have so many darn games that others seem to crowd it out. I am really trying to get focused on it and I want to get it set up as best I can before starting. I have the Tracker and Combat Report add-ons and I have updated the game to the latest official version and I have the 1126 non-official update. I am at a loss as to what command line switches might be best for my laptop. My specs are:

17" screen - 1920x1080
Intel i7-3630 QM processor at 2.4 GHz (quad core)
12 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M
Win 7 – 64 bit

How should I set the game up for best results, given my screen size and quad-core CPU?
And any comments on using tracker and Combat Reporter are welcome. I have read that they have some idiosyncracies.

I use the following. It plays in a window one size smaller than the natural windows size of 1920x1080. I found using 1920x1080 setting with or without -px-py resulted in strange picture problems.

"C:\Matrix Games\WitP AE\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -px1600 -py900 -cpu4 -SingleCpuOrders -dd_sw -altFont -multiaudio -deepColor -skipVideo -archive -w"
