Does better intelligence show enemy city specs (if not could it?)?

Post by jpinard »

I'm looking around occupied Germany to see where I can do the most damage by bombing their cities or ports into oblivion. If I read the manual correctly it appears European capitols like Brussels provides Germany with 20 MPP per turn when at full strength? But not sure how to calculate a city + industrial center like Dusseldorf.

It would be nice to have that information on the enemy if intelligence can supply it at certain levels if it already doesn't do that. Otherwise it's difficult to remember all the %'s for different structures and cities to calculate their income.

Also, in the manual it says a major capital should be getting 24 MPP, but London is only getting 20 MPP. Not sure why that is.

Hi Jeff,

Resources designated with as Industrial Centers or anything similar do not gain increased MPPs, rather the MPP valuation is still tied into its type only. What I can do under FoW is if the resource strength is still hidden provide Value information that simply tells you the valuation of MPP per strength point and I think that should give you a better idea on which target is better to hit.

For London it is actually not a 'Major Capital' resource type, but rather a regular 'Capital' so it maxes out at 10 strength points and thus only 20 MPP.

That would be incredibly awesome [:)]

I had just assumed London was a major capital being the foci of the British Empire. Washington DC, Moscow, and Berlin are the other major capitols only?

The Major Capital resource is used to signify a really extra important economically city, and not every Major has a Major Capital (they are different concepts, confused perhaps by the use of the word Major in both).
