NOOB Help: Can't seem to get above Minor Victory on Basic Training: Air Operations, 1983

Post by frankgalla »

My search skills may be lacking so if this is already posted somewhere my apologies.
I've played through scenario 1 more times than I'd like to admit and still can't get above
a Minor Victory rating with a score of 1400. Is there a particular target that should destroyed?
It also seems the ordinance isn't quite heavy enough to do the job on the buildings and hardened shelters.
Also, no matter what approach route or altitude/speed combo I use I can't seem to avoid losing at least 1 jet in the
SEAD role. Any advice there?

Thanks in advance!

If anyone has mastered this mission it would be great to see a video tutorial, the videos I've seen don't seem to do
any better than I do.

Welcome aboard Frank!
According to your description I do not know which videos you have seen, but there are some video tutorials on Baloogan's youtube channel, for example COMMAND Episode 1 Part 1 Air Tutorial - Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations
Baloogan's channel is very helpful during exploring of Command mechanisms.

PrimarchX also upload on your yt channel let's plays of this scenario:
Let's Play: CMANO - Air Operations Tutorial, Part 1
Let's Play: CMANO - Air Operations Tutorial, Part 2
Let's Play: CMANO - Air Operations Tutorial, Part 3
Beware that these videos are from old versions of the game (1.00 and 1.01) and many things have since changed.
