Could we have a offensive only switch for artillery?

Could we have a offensive only switch for artillery?

Many times when I'm ramping up to hit an enemy dug in force, the AI will strike near my artillery setting them off. What would be really nice is if I can save up those shells for the offensive I'm going to do. Just like we have right click option menu items for setting naval ships to raider or not, I'd like that same type of option for artillery so we can set them to "offensive" only mode. Hubert, can you make this happen or is that way too much coding late in the game?

It's an option already. Right click and set unit to silent

I think, but I haven't tried it, that sleep might do the same thing.

Oh for some reason I thought that only took them out of the "next unit" button/loop.

Sleep takes them out of the next unit cycle, while Silent stops them from firing in support of their colleagues. They will still fire in their own defense though if attacked, providing they have shells.
