I can't believe it....

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

From the site's page:
"Please note - this is a back catalog title and is considered complete and no longer in active development"

Release Date: 23 SEP 2009

This is based on two great games released back in 1999.

...and Matrix is still asking $71.

What a disgusting shame...

An interesting business decision to be sure ....

I guess they're figuring that this is a niche / specialty item that won't appeal to the general public so they'll charge specialty prices.

I think their marketing strategy may be a bit off base however ...

I am a long time war gamer and am interested in purchasing. But pay full price for a game that they have not even adapted to work with the latest standard resolutions etc ?

Won't happen. If I have to play windowed or stretched at full screen, I want a significant reduction in price.

But - that is up to Slitherine ...

Perhaps if some more potential customers also support such threads and they see the possibility of greater volume over the less frequent / higher price sales model - perhaps they'll reconsider ...
